About Ashley

My name is Ashley. I am an army wife and proud mommy living every day with Bipolar disorder and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder... I have been married to my wonderful husband Rob since 2007. My kids were born in [daughter] 2008 and [son] 2012. I have lived in Louisiana, Kentucky, Tennessee and now Georgia. I have been blogging since November 2009 [right before my husband came home from deployment]. Above are just a few pics of my family! Enjoy

I’m a former foster child who has experienced a lot of what it’s like to not have control over my life. In 2007, I graduated highschool and only a few months later, I married my husband [whom I had only known for about a year] and picked up the pieces of what had been a crazy and not so great life. From then on, things went uphill [with a few bumps in the road]. I am a psychology major with a double major in sociology-I am one with with a huge passion for fixing people, including myself. It’s been a journey of recognition and trying to overcome my past and trying to be the best person I can be for my husband and my children. I struggle every day to live a "normal" life but so far, I've considered my journey a successful one. After all, the first step to getting better is admitting there is a problem.

I have really been slacking as far as blogging lately. My husband is currently on his second tour of duty and deployed to Afghanistan. I stay busy with the two littles and now double majoring in school.

Life has been a struggle but I’m learning as I go. I hope you choose to follow along on my crazy rollercoster ride of growing children, upcoming deployments, and well me letting go of what used to be and being who I WANT TO BE!
